lizabeth L. Marr, P.T., Ph.D.,D.P.T.
Physical Therapist, Doctor of Physical Therapy

Dr. Marr earned her B.S. in Sports Medicine from Pepperdine University, her Certificate in Physical Therapy from Mount St. Mary's College and a Masters in Science and Doctorate in Applied Physiology from U.C.L.A.. She is a Credentialed Clinical Instructor with the American Physical Therapy Association. In December 2007, she completed her Doctor of Physical Therapy from Des Moines University School of Medicine. She has clinical expertise in working with a variety of musculoskeletal conditions including industrial and work injury, orthopedic and sports rehabilitation. She has been and continues to be an Ergonomic consultant to companies, including city and government, and law and fire enforcement agencies and sports teams. Locally, Dr. Marr and the Lakeside Physical Therapy staff provide a sports medicine outreach program to the Lake Havasu High School, assisting in the training of future healthcare professionals and providing athletic training services to the athletes.

Physical Therapist, Doctor of Physical Therapy

Dr. Espeland graduated with her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of Mary in Bismark, ND. She did her undergraduate schooling at Bismark State College in Bismark, ND and also at Columbus State Community College in Columbus, OH. Dr. Espeland is a Credentialed Clinical Instructor with the American Physical Therapy Association, certified water safety instructor with the American Red Cross, and has been a member of the American Physical Therapy Association since 2005. She has been an employee of Lakeside Physical Therapy since July of 2008 and enjoys working with patients of all age ranges and patient diagnosis.

Originally from Colorado, Judy graduated from the University of Colorado with a B.S. and certificate in Physical Therapy. Prior to relocating to the tri-state area, Judy owned Camarillo Physical Therapy for 23 years. Over the years, Judy has worked with a wide variety of orthopedic, neurological, and arthritic patients. She enjoys traveling with her husband Don, and visiting her three grandchildren.

Jan Mörk graduated from Karolinska Institute; located in Stockholm, Sweden, with a Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy in 1998. Jan has been working in outpatient clinics since his graduation, emphasizing  primarily in orthopedic and sports medicine settings.  Jan is currently attending the Transitional Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) program at A.T. Still University in Arizona. He has continued his education within: Orthopedic Manual Therapy (Step III, Kalternborn), Mechanical Diagnosis & Therapy (McKenzie), Sports Medicine, Acupuncture, and Osteopathy.
Jan has worked with the Swedish National Teams in Football (both seniors & juniors) and the U-21 Soccer Team. He was the head PT for  Djugarden and Brommapojkarna (soccer), Stockholm Mean Machines (football), and Fornudden (floorball). He has also worked at the Swedish Sports Federation Clinic for top athletes.
Jan moved with his family from Sweden to Lake Havasu in October of 2011. Besides working in the clinic, Jan helps with Lakeside's Sports Medicine Outreach Program at Lake Havasu High School.

Occupational Therapist

Cheryl earned her B.S. and M.S. in Occupational Therapy from the State University of New York at Buffalo. She has experience with both children and adults with neurological, orthopedic, and musculoskeletal conditions. Cheryl has also been an Adjunct Faculty Member and Lecturer at Mohave Community College, State University of New York at Buffalo, and D'Youville College of Buffalo, N.Y., and worked as part of the Rehabilitation Team at New York City's Hospital For Special Surgery.

This crazy song singing PTA, who loves golfing just as much as she loves wearing Hawaiian shirts, is a proud graduate of Indian Hills Community College, class of 2000 in Ottumwa, IA (where Radar O'Riley is from!) She's been a travelling PTA since 2006 and has seen lots of beautiful places as well as driven lots of wonderous winding roads which has landed her here at Lakeside Physical Thearapy and Rehab in November of 2009. "I hope I can provide not only quality patient care for this community, but maybe a few laughs along the way, too".

Swan graduated from the University of Arizona and has been a fixture within the aquatic coumminty of Lake Havasu City for many years. She is a Certified Pool Operator and is in charge of our Aquatic Fitness program and lessons.

Gina graduated from Lake Havasu High School in 2006. She has been a staff member of Lakeside Physical Therapy since March of 2006. She graduated from Mohave Community College in 2010 with an Associate of Applied Science degree with an emphasis in Physical Therapy Assistance.

Wally is a Lake Havasu High School Graduate and received his Bachelor of Science degree with Physiological Science from the University of Arizona. He is currently a 2nd year Doctor of Physical Therapy student at Touro University Nevada. When he's not studying, he enjoys golfing, playing volleyball, working on classic cars with his dad, and playing piano.

Rebecca comes from the land down under, specifically - Adelaide, South Australia. After living there for 29 yeas, she decided to marry an American and move halfway around the world. Lake Havasu City is where she settled (her husband has been here since the late 80's). She has 3 married step-children, six grandchildren and 3 fantastic dogs, who no matter what sort of day she has, love her anyway. As of July 9, 2010, she can proudly call herself a United States Citizen. But you never know, she may have a vegemite sandwich or two waiting for the right patient.

Jamie graduated from Lake Havasu High School in 2005 where she participated in volleyball, softball, and soccer all four years. In 2010  she graduated from the University of Arizona with a Bachelors Degree in Physiology with a minor in Spanish.

Lakeside Physical Therapy Rehab and Sports Medicine specializes in manual therapy, exercise and support treatment in the comprehensive rehabilitation of primarily orthopedic and sports injuries of the spine, lower extremity and upper extremity including the hand (cervical, thoracic and lumbar spine, pelvis, hip, knee, ankle, foot, shoulder, elbow and wrist injuries).

An estimated 7 million Americans seek medical attention for sports-related injuries each year.
There are 2 types of sports medicine injuries:
• Overuse injuries - Occur over time from repetitive trauma to the tendons, bones, and joints.
• Acute injuries - Usually result from a single traumatic event, like wrist fractures, ankle sprains, shoulder dislocations, and hamstring muscle strain.
